Bout of Books 13: Bookish Survey Challenge

Hey guys! This is my first ever Bout of Books participation so I am so excited. I just finished up my last AP exam so I finally have time to read!

Bout of Books

If you haven’t signed up for the read-a-thon yet, you have until Tuesday to officially do so. The challenges throughout the week are open only to official participants, so if you want to take part in these, then you need to be signed up. Otherwise, everything is very relaxed and fun! So join up and come back to play along with today’s challenge! The challenge for today is to answer these questions created by Writing My Own Fairy Tale!
Bookish Survey
1. How do you organize your shelves?
So I'm running out of shelf space but I'm not going to get another bookshelf soon because I am going off to college, but currently one shelf is designated for hardbacks and the other paperbacks. Now the paperback shelf is packed to the brim and so some of my mass paperback editions are on the hardback shelf, but I only have room for like two more books. Within each shelf, the books are either horizontal or vertical, depending on height.

2. What is one of your favorite book that’s not in one of your favorite genres?
So contemporary is something I just started being okay with. For the longest time I avoided it because I wanted nothing to do with romance and all that gushy stuff. However I read "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" by Jenny Han and I loved it. That book is my treasure and one of my favorite hardbacks.

3. What is the last 5 star book you read?
The last 5 star book I read, I think, was "Red Queen" by Victoria Aveyard. I absolutely loved it. Yes it has some elements of other stories but I don't even care. I loved the characters, the world, and the writing and I just loved the book overall.

4. What book are you most excited to read during the read-a-thon?
So I haven't really set a TBR for this read-a-thon, my goal is just to read all the unread books on my shelf (with the exception of Outlander and Game of Thrones because there is no way I am reading both of those in this amount of time) and a graphic novel I got from Netgalley. I think I am either most excited for the graphic novel or "Grimm Fairy Tales", which I have a huge bindup of and I plan to read at least 30 pages a night from that.

5. What book do you recommend the most?
Hmmm... I am not good at recommending books because it really just depends on the genre but if people are looking for a new dystopian novel to read check out "Awakening" from Shannon Duffy. I really liked it and it came out pretty recently so people should check it out
