But her intelligence and saucy nature keep her in good stead as she sets out on a quest for freedom and self-discovery as she tries to track down Lucinda to undo the curse, fending off ogres, befriending elves, and falling in love with a prince along the way. Yes, there is a pumpkin coach, a glass slipper, and a happily ever after, but this is the most remarkable, delightful, and profound version of Cinderella you'll ever read.

      As a child, I loved the "Ella Enchanted" movie because I absolutely love Anne Hathaway after watching her in "The Princess Diaries". For the longest time, I didn't even know that the movie was based on a book. Since I really enjoyed the movie, I decided I would pick up the book for Booktubeathon.

      I was not a fan of the book. It was nothing like the movie, and I know I shouldn't be saying this, but I like the movie better than the book.

      Ella was just not my type of person. She seemed like she was trying to be strong and sassy, but she cam across as kinda annoying.

      As for the plot, it was really slow and boring. It was nothing and I mean NOTHING like the movie. The movie was fun, funny, and exciting, while this was just ehhhh. I did appreciate the romance though. It was cute and totally worth everything in the end.

      Besides that, I really don't have much to say. It was alright and not what I expected. Honestly, the only redeeming factor was the ending.
